This kitchen remains a favorite transformation of mine even years after completion. Prior to the remodel, the space felt completely depleted. Aesthetically, it was heavy and discouraging. Functionally, it was disjointed and clunky.
After initially considering a modern design style, we landed on incorporating modern elements while relating back to the roots of the architecture and original features of the home. A blend serving modern living but respecting the history of the home.
The space now feels welcoming. It easily supports cooking, special morning or night beverages, and a cohesive gathering place connected to the adjacent sitting area and family room.
