about the event
We’ll talk about why so many open layouts feel loud, chaotic, or oddly exhausting, even when they’re beautiful. Using design psychology, I’ll break down how our brains respond to space, why boundaries play such an important role in comfort and emotional regulation, and where open concept often falls short of supporting daily life.
This isn’t about saying open concept is “bad”. It’s about understanding when openness works, when it doesn’t, and how to introduce clearer visual, acoustic or functional boundaries so your space can support how you actually live.
